Chisels

These chisels are manufactured from high grade hardened steel and designed to fit a wide variety of chisel plow machines. Chisel plows are most common with 1/2” holes on 2-1/4” centers although older International Harvester machines have 2-1/2” centers. Most have fifty degree shank bars. Nichols chisels are hot forged with precision countersunk holes to securely fit your machine and provide long lasting performance.

Forged from hardened steel, Nichols field cultivator chisels are built to last. They are available in three materical thicknesses as well as machine-specific applications.

Nichols Quick Change Chisels make replacement quick and easy and engineered to securely drive onto the Nichols bracket eliminating the need for bolts.

Nichols Tillage Tools manufactures three Twisted Chisel product groups, Twisted Chisels, Slash Points and Cupped Twisted Chisels. Twisted Chisels feature center-cut ends, Slash Points are diagonally cut and Cupped Twisted Chisels have center-cut ends. Cupped Twisted Chisels are concave formed to contain and direct soil more aggressively toward the side. Left and right hand versions are available for all versions.

Nichols creaser points are made from 5/16″ material and are available hardfaced or plain in several different styles.

Also know as “corn shovels”, Nichols beaver tail shovels are designed for deep tillage applications.
